An upcoming music sensation, Zyno, also known as Topboy, whose real name is Olisaemeka Henry Urama is set to release his second EP.
The Nigerian rapper and singer who is breaking new grounds in his unique Hip-Hop genre of music comes hot and fresh with his unique concept of blending street vibes with Christian worship which sets him apart and makes his music distinct like a breath of fresh air.
He hails from Enugu Ezike in Enugu State and was born on September 21, 2003.
Zyno released his first single, “Olisa,” featuring Jeriq. The single, which samples Mercy Chinwo’s gospel single “Excess Love,” went viral, thanks to his unique sound and consistency.
His EP, “Street Goes To Church,” featured six songs, three of which was an infusion of Christian worship and street music (Ogbe vibes). Other songs featured Afrobeat and Ama Piano, creating a fusion of sounds that sets him apart from other artists Zyno’s second single, “Blessings,” was released on May 5th.
Young and brimming with ideas and passion for entertainment, he has big dreams and aspirations, which include performing on a global stage, gaining massive engagement, and getting more publicity, Zyno is today, a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry.
After dropping his first six studio singles titles “Street goes to Church” EP, he has remained relevant and consistent with his music and gaining massive recognition in Nigeria as a whole and of other countries too.
Zyno’s unique sound and fusion of Christian worship and street music makes him an exceptional artist. He remains determined and focused on his dreams, despite challenges. He is the face of young Nigerians looking for fresh, unique sounds that resonate with their faith and love for hip-hop. In his songs, there is no vulgar lyrics.
Now set to release a new EP titled “Agnus Dei”, he said his fans should be expecting more motivational and inspirational unique sounds in the upcoming EP and album.
“They should expect more solo and featured good sounds from me too. Agnus Dei is a Latin word meaning Lamb oF God in English. The EP is combined with sounds infused from Christian worship, block rosary hymns and some other sounds in it. The song preaches to the hood that you can be a hood boy and still serve God with all your heart. The New EP is like a sign of motivation to the street and people that haven’t achieved what they are praying for to keep up with God and take things one step at a time,” he said.
