A Kano State High Court, presided by Usman Na’aba, yesterday, granted an interlocutory injunction staying the execution of its previous order which restrained the National Chairman of  All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, from exercising his membership of APC.

The court, having read a motion ex parte, together with a 27-paragraph affidavit and a written address, stayed the execution of its own order contained in its ruling of April 17, 2024 in which it directed the parties to maintain status quo ante as at April 15, 2024 in relation to the suspension of APC national chairman from the party by the Ganduje ward executive committee members, pending the hearing and determination of the 4th respondent/applicant’s motion on notice.

Na’abba, thereafter, adjourned the case to April 30, 2024 for hearing. The court had, on April 17, 2024, granted an ex parte order restraining Ganduje from his membership of APC.

The court also directed APC, National Working Committee, Kano State Working Committee (KSWC), and Ganduje to maintain status quo ante as of April 15, 2024, pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit on April 30, 2024.
